MongoIDE is a desktop client published by Polozhevets OÜ, Estonia. This page describes the Mac app and this website. It was last updated on 28 September 2026. MongoDB® is a registered trademark of MongoDB, Inc.

The Mac app

MongoIDE does not have an account, and it does not include analytics or advertising. Queries and documents travel between your Mac and the MongoDB server you configure. Polozhevets OÜ does not receive them.

Connection profiles and passwords are stored in the macOS Keychain and unlocked with Touch ID or the device password. The app also stores its own settings, such as page size, in local preferences on that Mac. Saved queries stay on the Mac.

An SSH tunnel, when you turn one on, is opened by the app and listens only on 127.0.0.1. The private key is a file you choose. It is read so the tunnel can authenticate. It is not uploaded.

The app runs in the Mac App Sandbox. It can use the network and the files you pick in open and save panels. Export files are written only where you save them.

The Mac App Store

Purchases are made through Apple. Apple processes payment and any tax. Polozhevets OÜ does not receive your card number. Apple’s privacy policy covers the store transaction.

This website

mongoide.com is a static site. It does not set tracking cookies and it does not load third-party analytics. Your browser may still record the visit in its own history, and the host that serves the site may keep ordinary server logs.

The support form

If you write to us from the support page, the form sends your name, email address, and message to Formcare at formcare.io, which stores the submission and can notify us by email. Do not include database passwords or document contents. You can also skip the form and email [email protected].

We use the message to answer you and to improve the app. We do not sell it. We keep it only as long as we need it for that reply and for a record of the issue.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your MongoDB data to train models. We do not ask the app to phone home with the contents of a collection.

Your requests

If you want a copy of a support message we hold, or you want it deleted, email [email protected]. Connection data on your Mac is under your control: remove the app, or delete the connection in MongoIDE, and the Keychain item goes with it.
